Omani frankincense tree
Boswellia sacra
The frankincense of antiquity, from the Dhofar hills of Oman and adjacent Yemen and Somalia. Its pale Hojari grades are the most prized in the world; the oil carries incensole acetate and octyl acetate, the 'Omani' signature. GBIF treats Boswellia carterii as a synonym.
